Scott Bader has a strong commitment to R&D, and has a state-of-the-art R&D Centre at its headquarters near Northampton, which contains support facilities for product evaluation and testing.  Innovations were found across numerous projects within Scott Bader’s portfolio, including:

Identifying & Claiming Eligible R&D Tax Benefits

New Product Development - including the development of M7 (1:1) adhesives, which aim to stick even the most difficult of materials such as nylon and galvanised steel.

Product Modification - including the sourcing and testing of a new form of talc as a replacement raw material within 800 products.

Speculative Technical Work - including the development of resins and fibres made from sustainable sources such as plants rather than standard crude oil.

And How We Helped...

The Ayming UK R&D tax team successfully compiled and submitted five claims on behalf of Scott Bader, identifying:  

2009: £86,186 of eligible R&D

2010: £753, 839 of eligible R&D

2011: £770, 854 of eligible R&D

2012: £748, 823 of eligible R&D

2013: £1,020, 131 of eligible R&D
